G.I. Joe toys were awesome. They had knee and elbow joints, which made them posable. They were also easily affordable for a family on a budget. Plus, you could fit them in your pocket and bring them with you on the go.

Were GI Joe's the best action figures of the 80s?

Only thing about those joint toys is over time kids would blow the hell out of them. I had a few that couldnt even stand up no more because of how we used to actually fight fight with them. If the nikka was throwing a punch we made that joint move no homo
This happened to all my toys that had joint articulation :pachaha:

The special weapons and vehicles that were available only via mail order >>>>>>

GI Joe buildings and vehicles (Terror Drome, USS Flagg, Sky Striker) >>>>>

But when Transformers second generation came out with Metroplex, Ultra Magnus, Rodimus Prime. When the AerialBots combined to form Superion to kill the Combaticons (Bruticus) :banderas:

G.I. Joe is probably correct because it brought decades long longevity & pop culture relevancy with it into the 80s, while the rest were mainly 80s phenomens. G.I. Joe did, however, lose relevancy fast once us 80s elementary school kids became 1990s high schoolers.

That said, you had to be an 80s kid who was into cartoons HEAVY to either remember Sectaurs and/or own the toys :wow:

Always wanted it because who else was packaging giant hairy insects with movable parts along with their action figures that the figures could also ride?

Never got one but that’s how it be as a kid sometimes :francis:
