"horror" films tend to be less scary when you, as a Westerner who was raised around constant Christian thoughts and ideologies.... think Thor's goats are going to gnaw your bones.

Damn near ALL of our fears of the supernatural are rooted in our christian teachings.

Have you ever seen "The Cabin in the Woods"?

If you have, do you remember that scene where the scientists were looking at the horror scenarios they were enacting in other countries?

Didn't it seem silly as fukk? ::russ:

So no, it's not all "propaganda".... it's people using what you know and believe at your core to strike fear into your heart like a kentucky baptist preacher.

The message or moral is tacked on because they grew up watching GI Joe cartoons.

Yup ..especially those exorcism type movies where they pull out the cross to exorcise demons..a whole bunch of movies,,that stigmata shyt..last days..any movie where demons are coming from hell..or angels are trying to help..there's 1000s of them
This I do believe, All of a sudden these type of movies coming out like every month 2. Are they even that popular? I don't remember seeing huge box office numbers. Paranormal activity was cool, but this other shyt they coming out with is disturbing. Even the trailers are filth.
