But test times are going to be longer they will need more scratch paper, bigger problem solving areas and longer class times to understand the harder problems..

Plenty of high schoolers dont even know what a times table is smh.

Not at all. It’s a bunch of adults that don’t like math, so it’s not like the old way was necessarily easier or more interesting to learn.

If anything the “new” way breaks things down into smaller pieces and let’s kids see there is another way to solve a problem. It’s convoluted, but helpful to those who don’t get shortcuts

Lol how is it guessing when it’s steps and a process involved to solve the problem? Yeah it’s a longer way but some kids get it when it’s broken down.

As more companies rely on project management, that’s exactly how it will be at work as well. Small, manageable pieces that test understanding at each step of the process instead of the overall answer.
