I think the NBA needs to rethink having two NBA franchises in New Orleans and Memphis moving forward.
The two franchises are dead last in NBA monetary value and the cities are wastelands where so much can go wrong for young, Black athletes.

I'm not rolling with this. All 50 states have internet connections, Zion would've ended up a porn overlord in Utah too. Ja would've just found some other city to be ignorant in. A team from Oklahoma just won the trophy. I'm not willing to blame cities on teams falling. Idk about valuations but I can't imagine OKC's is that high even with a chip, they're bottom half of attendance with MEM & NO.
You never think of putting the Thunder in the same convo with them even though financially they're not worlds apart. One has stability and a great FO, the other two have mostly never had one of those, let alone two together. Memphis peaked with the Grit n Grind era that wasn't winning shyt ever
NO's never had even that. And that's not on NO, New Orleans is one of the best sports towns in the world. It's not their fault they never had ownership worth a damn or had a solid plan at any point. When they got the team as the Hornets they had to play in OKC first, which is where they got the idea for basketball in Oklahoma in the first place. CP3 getting up and leaving or Pelicans getting the B team Saints medical staff ain't nikkas around NO or the city's fault. Henry Ruggs doing double the speed limit and killing people and Darren Waller turning into a coke fiend and losing his wife isn't on Vegas. Same city seems to be doing fine as the home for hockey, nobody's killed anybody and I'm sure 100% white girls there too.
