No.

It's the 80s rappers IMO.

LL started the term GOAT and very few people consider him a GOAT :francis: What's crazy is a rapper from the same borough as him (Nas) is considered a GOAT by more people :heh:

LL is probably the most respected 80s rapper and even his music isn't talked about like that in modern times :mjcry:

I ain't even a Hov fan like that but the Jay-Z disrespect has gotten pretty wild last few years. I saw on twitter MFers saying Reasonable Doubt isn't a "classic" b/c it's a "regional classic only" which is just dumb af. Yes, RD got the benefit Jay-Z's later success, and it wasn't necessarily as impactful as other 1996 albums. In real time, people were late to the party...but that doesn't take away from the quality. Album aged like fine wine.

I dont think so for the most part. Social media just amplifies things and makes people clout chase by saying dumb shyt. Hate comes with greatness tho. Nas and Jay are great.

I think people like Nas, Jay, and Andre 300 irk the shyt out of people because theyre happy. They really dont give a fukk. Other celebrities do...you can tell how they post shyt in a reactionary way or defend themselves a lot. Think Wale, Kevin Durant, Drake, 50 cent....they to me seem miserable.

Nas gonna do albums with whoever he wants, Dre gonna play the fiddle or whatever the fukk, Jay gonna be wealthy and try new hairstyles.....theyre happy people and don't care.

Also its natural for youth to say the new stuff is better. When I was sixteen older people i knew were hating on Pac, Nas, and Jay. And i was like man nobody wanna hear that Kurtis Blow and Run DMC shyt yall was on. So circle of life and all that.

Nas is not hated. Some people don't fukk with him or his music.

People accuse Jay of being the man behind the freakoffs and all kinds of other wild shyt.

Nas marches to his own drum…. He ain’t gotta answer to someone that’s in a 360 deal getting raped by the label.

A lot of these rap fans nowadays are lemmings and wanna go with the most popular thing out.

They can’t think or analyze anythin.

Folks haven’t heard What Goes Around or Doo Rags

no, anyone that has dropped an album before the 90s are the most disrespected.

Nas and Jay-Z are a lot of your favorite rappers favorite rappers….

The same ones that diss Nas ended up making songs with him like 21 Savage for example when he cracked slick on him.

Hip Hop is the only genre where u got a bunch of fools cracking slick about rappers being old.

Reasonable Doubt was Jay’s Illmatic…

Even he admitted on Vol 2 that folks went back and checked it out.

Most of these cats were possibly swimming in their daddy’s sack when that came out and remember Jay as Beyonce’s hubby.

Jay doesnt come out when he’s asked to and that upsets people that he’s very nonchalant
