minimum wage isn’t meant for a luxurious life, but fukk you should at least be able to get by every month and pay for your necessities. Second jobs should be about getting ahead, not making ends meet. Every other developed country works off this notion, but America has been force fed propaganda about certain jobs not being for living...what? This isn’t the 80s anymore, fast food jobs for example aren’t just for high school kids.

People want to be in the position where they exploit everyone else. There is no reforming greed, outside of trauma like a mass rebellion.

They must think that 1400 1BR price gonna stay the same when minimum wage is 15 bucks....

Landlords and property managers just gonna increase the rent to 2k or 2200 cause they know folks got more money.

Put limits on landlords income, like how they regulate food prices.

There are people that do super demanding work that don’t even get close to 30 an hour but some burger flipper at McDonald’s is supposed to? Yup. I was working in the morning and going after work. Some classes was 1 day a week, others were 2 days a week. 12-15 credits ain't hard, it's only 3 to 4 classes

Best thing about college is you can set your own schedule or do classwork online, I know that helps the unfortunate who don't have the luxury of time.

Edit: My degree wasn't that hard so I had it a lil easy. Community Colleges are nice for lower income though. Lots of 2 year degrees bring in good income.

Full time school and full time work would be close to impossible for my undergrad degree with my math, physics, and engineering classes requiring about 30-40 hours of studying and homework outside of class.

Everybody praises Chick-fil-A service but they start off more than any other fast food joint so the employees put in more effort.

Its like my new job. We get paid well and dont have management breathing down our necks so folks show up to work on time everyday in a good mood ready to work.

Very few people are trying to break their backs for customers who don't even think they deserve a living wage.

And that is the problem they want more money but don't want to put in the effort.
