Is it just me or does it seem like major corporate retail/retailers/goods and services is taking over america? :patrice:

Like here in NYC with gentrification small stores and mom & pop owned businesses are being replaced with duane reades, 7-11s, dunkin donuts, and chase banks.

Even in suburban areas wal-marts, mega centres, and big box retailers seem to be more prevalent than smaller owned businesses.

Probably more small and independent businesses than there has ever been in history, they have just moved to the internet.

Having a storefront for alot of businesses has become kinda obsolete

This. The internet is where small businesses live and they're actually thriving. If you're in business in 2015 and don't have a serious online presence you're throwing money away.
