Is it just me or does it seem like major corporate retail/retailers/goods and services is taking over america? 
Like here in NYC with gentrification small stores and mom & pop owned businesses are being replaced with duane reades, 7-11s, dunkin donuts, and chase banks.
Even in suburban areas wal-marts, mega centres, and big box retailers seem to be more prevalent than smaller owned businesses.
