Are tech tutorials appropriate to post in this section? If not, where?

I wanted to create some tech tutorial threads on The Coli, but I'm not sure what section I should use.

I'd like to start with things like setting up a secure browser for the internet, then some basic intro to programming guides, intro to Linux, maybe a guide on setting up a small digital recording studio, intro to electricity and basic wiring guides, et cetera. Is this the right spot for it?

And would that sort of content be worthwhile? I notice a lot of discussion on The Coli is very troll-ish. I'd hate to waste time writing stuff if nobody cares.

Oh I dont care about anything like that. I'd probably use too many smileys to try to be humorous. But if it gets some people into open source and programming then by all means yes. We need everybody
