Are the cops in the wrong for killing this guy for shoplifting?

This is a tough one. Its not the shoplifting, but the assault that got that guy shot.
He had already bit into the officer's arm earlier in the video. and he already tried to attack both officers who let off their entire supply of tazers on the guy to no effect whatsoever.
The issue here is when an officer is being attacked repeatedly, and has already exhausted nonlethal means. I dont think being an officer means he has to sit there and be assaulted.
I personally wouldnt sit there and peacefully be beaten (or eaten?) to a pulp if i were in his position.
Judging by how he bit into the cop and shrugged off the tazers like rain drops; he reminds me of those bath salt guys who are full-on zombies. They will legitimately eat you if you give them the chance. Hell, that dude kept walking into his apartment complex like nothing happened even after getting 3 bullet holes in his abdomen.

He could have taken the officer's gun and shot him with it if the attack was successful. You attack a person holding a gun, you get shot. Doesn't matter if it's a police matter or not.
Not the officer's fault that he can't overpower every single civilian.

He didn't get shot for shoplifting.
He got shot because he tried to wrestle with a cop. And If I'm the cop, then I'm not going to risk you grabbing my gun while we're trying to Grapple
