They play extremely smart team defense and have Duncan. Their size is overwhelming to Miami and the biggest difference is SA offense is much better and efficient than Indy. With that said, you should have saw this coming after game 1 of the IND-MIA series.

offense is the difference they have the shooters and penetrators to take advantage of such a small team and they have murdered them on the boards.

Its the offense not the defense

Mia don't worry bout shyt vs indy or chi cause they knowthey can hit offensivley

With the spurs they can hit back, plus they well coached with talent

I don't expect game 4 to be a blowout tho

no its not. the bulls and pacer didnt have enough offense. all u need to do is play off of bron and dwade and have enough offense to take control of the game.

its partially the spurs offense putting a lot more pressure on the heat, but its also the spurs not making the multitude of mistakes that the bulls and pacers did which let lebron get out in transition for easy buckets.

in the halfcourt lebron's contested shot pct in this series is probably like 20%. he went 1-9 in this game outside 15 feet and that was a gimme 3 where they sat off him 5 feet away. he's thinking too much and theyre giving him jumpers, but theyre not going to give him the cheap dunks in the halfcourt and let him get whatever he wants. the spurs are dictating play and he looks as lost as he did against dallas.

Their not just giving him jumpers. Their giving him jumpers on parts of the floor where he tends to have lower percentages. They tend to shade him when he is in his hot zones presay. Not to mention, Leonard is doing an amazing job getting into Bron's dribbles, reading when Bron wants to drive and forcing Bron to dish it out instead of attacking the paint but SA recovery time is so damn good, Bron can't get them into foul trouble like he did with Indy due to their good team agility even if they lack great athleticism.

You gotta give it to SA, amazing gameplan. This shyt wouldn't work for 99% of NBA teams but it does for SA.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
In regards to LeBron, it's his mindset more than it is the defense, he took on that passive play in Game 6 against the Pacers and has been pretty shytty since, save for game 7. The Spurs are playing good defense, but nothing he hasn't seen before, he straight up looks like he did in 2011. He's afraid to shoot, and when he misses one it's pretty much a wrap for his confidence.

I think Lebron is making the mistake of not trying to make the spurs feel his impact from the tip off on. Trying to get Wade and Bosh going, he falls back and just tries to turn up his aggression when he sees its necessary and that's not smart basketball on his part and also why his shot selection has gotten worse and worse as well.

Lebron gotta remember that though Wade and Bosh can have significant impacts when they're playing well, he's the MVP and best player of the league. He's the guy who can carry a team to victory and his team needs him to do that now. He gotta accept it to win this series.
