IIRC, yes. I can understand that trauma. I'm just saying when you're grown and have people depending on you, discipline is something you have to instill in people who depend on you.
A 30 city tour is another layer of complexity that I don't know if I would put my adolescent child through.

Touring is hard on adults, so I'm sure it wouldn't have been easy on Willow. And comparing her to the Jacksons is unfair, since they were father's and the family's meal ticket out of poverty. I don't know what kind of conversations they had with Willow but Beyonce did it right with her daughter. Since she wants to be on stage, start her off small and make her honor her commitments and work hard but don't necessarily tie her to a contract.

And If I'm not mistaken, she was getting all statutory with 20 year old cacs less than a year after 'quitting' that tour, hence these disturbing ass photos that never resulted in CP being called or that Cac getting his ass whupped.

I don't know if Will is saving face for Willow, but 1, I'm assuming Will had more foresight than to just say "she's doing it". I imagine it was some back and forth between both and it was something she genuinely wanted to do, but like most kids didn't realize the full extent of what she was signing up for.
Part of me can imagine Will wanting his family to all be major stars, and signing Jaden up for this, Willow up for that. And when they both get tired, I can see Jada being like, well take a break. And Will is just left to hold the bag.

Yea, people saying force her to finish the tour are kind of crazy. That would have been way out of character for a longtime cool dad and how he already let things got up to that point. It would have just turned into a much bigger story because it would have turned into a bigger (and probably public) meltdown and he knew it.

As others have said, the Jacksons were trained damn near from birth to be entertainers. Willow got a nepo baby push, fell into having a hit record and then was thrust onto a massive stage she wasn't ready for. Do I think this story says a lot about the failure of Will as a parent, and more importantly the danger of having children with the wrong woman? Yes. I just don't like the Jacksons comparison.
To me this is an example of cutting corners and how bad things can happen. It's not about a parent being unable to force his child to complete a tour. It's about putting your child in a situation you know she's not ready for, because the allure of fame is so huge you can't say no. She could have been trained to be a star. She wasn't. She could have been prepared. She wasn't.
Also worth noting even if she was trained it's highly likely she would implode at some point because of the negative influence of her mother, and the corrosive way Will was emasculated in his own home. His kids were always gonna be flunkies in that environment.
