If you don’t bother downloading illegally anymore I guess the next best thing is wait until the catalogue is on streaming. Most heads I know like De La in some type of way tho

i've also never heard a full Roc Marciano project or Heavy D besides singles.

And i consider myself a big music head but anything that Nas, AZ, Mos Def, Royce, Lupe, Joe Budden or Fab drop, they get my fresh ears as soon as it's OUT

From my generation, I've heard all of the albums from the top mainstream acts because hip hop just became mainstream with Run DMC. I think the only one that can apply to this is Nelly because when he started selling millions of albums, I was around 23 years old and I never bothered to hear any of them.
