couldnt find any pics of them together back in the day, but ive wondered about this lol

the game (especially the 2nd one) has a lot of nods to rap and funk (pfunk in particular) so its not too far fetched i think. the game is from 1991 so e40 was still in the click and hadnt gone solo yet but he wasnt entirely obscure. greg johnson had just finished college in southern california so he could've definitely been familiar with e40. of course PE were still huge in 91 as well. toejam wears that big ass chain which makes me think of slick rick, but ofc toejam doesnt have an eyepatch. and flav has always been skinny

Wearing big clocks was a fashion thing back then, other rappers/etc wore clocks
Flav is just the most famous for it, Toe Jam and Earl took influence from hip-hop culture as a whole
E-40 was relatively unknown at this time, you had to know somebody who knew him to have heard of him back then
