I'm a subcontractor that works on residential and small business alarm systems. It's a pretty good job and would recommend it to anybody that likes to work with their minds and hands. Most of the stuff I work on is wireless these days, so it's mostly just programming shyt in and then gluing /stapling it up. Work is steady and dry during the winter months too. I make good money due to how efficient I am. It seems like positions for alarm techs are always in demand.

My wife's work friend (:troll:), left the non-profit they were working for to be a salesperson for the alarm company we both work for now. He hooked me up with a guy that runs a subcontract crew through the local corporate office. All I had to do was pass a background check and tag along with a couple of his installers for a couple months. Fwiw, I had a couple felonies on my record from a long time ago that had been expunged and well as a residential burglary case that I beat and it didn't have any affect on me getting hired. I get paid per job and get all my jobs through the corporate service coordinators. I average between 7-11 jobs a day @ $35 a piece. I get to my first job site at 8am prompt and am usually home by 3pm. I report to the local office just like the direct employees and get my parts from the warehouse just like they do. I use my own car, it's fun driving a 5-speed 5 series as a work vehicle:clap: When it's time to get cashed out I take all my completed work orders to my boss's house and cash them in. No taxes are taken out, so I file at the end of the year, although it's smarter to do it quarterly. Between marriage, home ownership, and a kid, I usually end up owing around $4k. I just set up a payment plan and pay it off in a couple months. My boss is a chill ass Palestinian dude.
