I thought this was fake, but it’s REAL!!

The event sparked both political and social media debate about parliamentary rules and political bias, but the core facts are clear and validated across mainstream media

Look at who they want a moment of silence for.
He was a disgusting human being!!

Stop saying "The European Parliament attempts".

It's a extreme right-wing swedish MP who wanted to have a minute of silence. The President of Parliament (right wing) refused before the session. He still got up and called for it, which led the Vice-President (center-left) to refuse it too.

Basically one guy extreme-right MP and some other right-wingers wanted to do it and they were rightfully shut down.

(Don't get it wrong though, the President of Parliament offered some teary condolences for him on twitter, as one would expect from a right-winger)

It doesn't matter, it's a group of non-Americans having some common sense...

Yeah sure but I mean saying "The European Parliament attemps a moment of silence" is totally wrong and sounds as if the European Union (which the EP represents) was asking for a moment of silence.

Thread title should be "European Parliament REFUSES a moment of silence for Charlie Kirk".
