Are You Interested In Discovering Anymore New Music Or Are You Good?

I just saw this link saying "discover new R&B" and i immediately hit the .

And then I thought about WHY I reacted like that.

It's because I'm good basically

I'm 39 and the vast majority of the music I listen to is music I've listened to most of my life already. Old ish from the 70s to the early 2000's get more spins from me than more recent music. I don't get tired of it and plus I got soooooo much music that I'm constantly getting that "new" feeling from old music I go back and listen to.

If I come across some new music/artists by chance, cool, but as far as activily seeking it out, naw I'm off that.

I hardly drive anymore (wfh and Uber when I want to drink) and when I do there's more interesting content on YouTube then the music coming out.

I'm 39 and I always look for new music. Older people get stuck in their ways and that's why most older folks only listen to music from when they were in school/college. It's a trap I've noticed since I was a child. I love music, and part of that love involves listening to new music. It takes effort, but it's worth it.

What does actively seek out new music even mean today? The days of going to the music store to look for new cds are over for most people.

Blog era is mostly over but still has its use.

There is still alot of good music out there, the bar of entry is so low now though that you have to wade through waves of trash to find it. I always try to find new stuff daily. The more folks listen to other genres the more they can explore and advance other genres of music, take bits and pieces and spin it but not overly produce because then you end up with the POP Music sound and that mess is manufactured to a science. Overly Pop influence is the reason alot of stuff is wack.
