first of all :salute: @ the new Coli heading and yes that is the inspiration for this thread.

But for all the Ethnic individuals, who's philosophy do you live your life by?

Are you more radical and "by any means necessary" type or a peaceful yet "We need equality" type mindstate?

yes, both were great men and had their contradictory lifestyles and the man-made religion both influenced their minds, but nonetheless :ohlawd: @ both men

Good thread! I would definitely have to go with Malcolm. I wouldn't say I'm the most pro black personhowever over the years I've gain a great appreciation for our/my heritage. It's time to stand up and represent!

Japan, but from the 989
Malcolm X. I think Black people in particular need to do things for themselves. Policing, starting up businesses, empowering their own communities. I also respect Martin Luther King's Dream of everyone getting along and non violence. So I guess I'm 50/50.

I like Malcolm a lot more but we should all try and emulate the great Dr King. He actually got change and had he stayed alive he would have kept on at it till he achieved his goal. Malcolm is a complicated but brilliant orator who has effected the lives of millions after his death, but his impact while he was alive was minimal in comparison. Still both great men :manny:

Aside from taking up the cause of the Black man in America to the rest of the world, the discipline that Malcolm X applied to his own life, his family and his religion is nothing short of remarkable. The man is damn near a deity. I'd have to say my philosophies are more in tune with his.
