Are YouTubers with large followings plants?

I've never paid this no mind but I've seen some youtubers start out with just stupid funny videos to appeal to a certain demo and then they start spreading a message, an agenda.

I might be too right now but I was wondering how these no name people get a million subs lol

People do that. You outgrow pure fukkery and spit things you feel are important.

How are you defining no name though?

Cause a lot had to work to gain their followings, and at best someone can get a shoutout from an established youtuber. But I don't know many cases of people starting with numerous viewers from jump unless they were already somewhat famous.

How about all those annoying gaymer channels with millions of subs. I think most of their subscribers are between the ages of 5-15.

Chris Smoove was like that. He was a normal dude who criticized the game during 2K9 then he became the gimmick uploader he is today around 2K11. Same with a dude who plays FIFA named KSI. He just bought a multi million dollar house in London a couple years back.

It's perfectly acceptable to believe that someone starts making videos on some BS and then later on they wanna kick political/societal knowledge, I get that. But I still wanna know how they up their followings.

Breh, I kick myself so hard for missing out on this shyt, cause when the wave started in 07-08, I was just graduating highschool and entering college and stayed recording myself playing video games. Never knew shyt would blow up like this.

I used to kick it with this white girl a couple years ago all the time. Stopped talking to her for awhile but saw she had a Youtube channel via social media.. saw her start from like 400 followers last year to almost 300,000 now just organically

It's all about having the right gimmick. Like @Wheresmypassport mentioned, Chris Smoove has the gimmick of the cool slang talking black dude that white folks can admire and look forward to watching videos. QJB and others happen to be very good at sports games, and gain followers just from being charismatic commentators while playing very good basketball in 2K or killing people online in Madden.

Just got to find something that gains attention, cause if its good, it will spread. We just had a nikka get 1 mil views in a week singing about some Patti Labelle pies. Now he can be smart and make this a gimmick reviewing food while singing and shyt.

Exactly. Like how I was saying. Most people just watch videos with no benefit and just plain harm. Like rats or pigs attracted to filth. There are some positive Youtube channels though.
