The policies of libertarian President Javier Milei have done much to stabilize Argentina's long turbulent economy. Its notoriously high inflation has cooled, its currency controls have been torn down and it has notched its first budget surplus in 14 years.

Did you ignore the rest of the article that detailed how public sector workers are going hungry, pensions are no longer covering basic needs, and nearly a third of the workforce is either unemployed or stuck in informal jobs with no protections? Celebrating how inflation might be coming down, while ignoring how wages have collapsed, and how poverty has spiked, completely misses the point of what economic policy is supposed to achieve.
I think people are also forgetting to mention the what @Pull Up the Roots mentioned. Yes, the ‘economy’ might have become better, but at the expense of privatizing everything. This won’t work in America… because our citizens are armed…. Once the race/genders wars die down, and there’s no one to point to, citizens with guns can go ‘loco’
