Well she naked and the accolades ain't really coming(she looks fantastic btw, her body is on point).

I agree it's a 2 fold issue. Ppl who are soulful R&B fans tend to skew older and they just aren't the streaming force that she would need to get on by streaming. This is where urban radio should be making up for the shortfall but I feel like they only took to Pressure, maybe BMO a little bit before that. It's not consistent support though.

i was a little let down with her show in oakland, but seeing she tested positive for covid in the days after, i'll give her a break. she sounded great when i saw her, but there wasn't a lot of "wow" moments and she kept on this big metallic silver puff coat which was distracting lol

that said, her show reminded me of how good her catalog is, shame she's not bigger

this, there's only so many things we can blame on labels and the industry. at some point, fans need to be to blame for what they flock to and what shenanigans draw their attention


edit: ari gets plenty of placement on all the main r&b playlists on spotify, so it's not like she's being hidden, just those listeners don't become Ari listeners

She better holler at Hitmaka to recycle some extremely popular 90s R&B records, fork over 99.9% of the publishing but at least it will get some radio spins + play in the clubs. It’s a lazy formula but that is literally King Combs whole career

SZA has had the number one album in the country for like the last ten weeks. There are some pop and pop rock tracks on there but it's largely r&b. I just don't think Ari has the record, marketing, or look to blow. Seems like a cool chick, I just don't think she has "it" like that.
