hella excellent answers in here @mamba @Detroit Wave @Throwbacksample @CharlieManson @Barnett @DrX @cheek100 @CinnaSlim @Malik Wright

too many to quote.

But yea, basically whever the youth realized that the elsers aint built shyt to pass along and help ensure the ability to maintain and survive in a respectable manner

when u cant give your youth anything to work with how u expect them to honor you? All i see is cac kids in my age group with parents paying off their college, paying their rent, hooking them up with good jobs, getting them into good schools.

same way girls are gonna gravitate to dudes who are able to provide the life they want and protect them while acting like them beta ass nikkas dont even exist :manny:

I show respect to elders off GP but i will straight up laugh at an old head trying to tell me how to move and be successful and live life if he dont own shyt, dont have a mean investment portfolio or hasnt achieved shyt in life. I wish nikkas would try to tell me how to get somewhere they never been or achieve something they never did

Maybe it was when older black males failed to build for and protect their own communities (look at the condition black communities are in across the U.S.), because they lacked cultural pride that other races of men had, maybe it was when they let all these non black men come in and set up businesses and extract wealth, and still didn't try to build anything for black ppl, maybe it was when they spent years spending their money flexing with whips, clothes, chasing p*ssy, and getting high, maybe it was when they created a bunch of single parent homes, etc

Take your pick

Funny thing is black folks created the idiotic thought that if your parents provide then you grew up with a silver spoon, because when you black you supposed to be poor and struggling.

like other posters said, i think a lot of black people have the mentality that the black community has done nothing for them. brehs grow up with very little resources financially or useful guidance.

to go further down the rabbit hole, it explains why when black people get on, they don't feel indebted to the black "community." especially if you grew up in a cutthroat urban environment. why you think "haters" is such a common theme in hip-hop? :dame:

like 50 cent said in that smack dvd interview: "i don't remember a nikka doing nothing for me"

Then they hate ME for saying participating in the misogyny of our queens and genocide of our kings is c00nING

Then they say they partipate in the misogyny of our queens and genocide of our kings BECAUSE THEY ARE BROKE

THEY ARE CAPING FOR THE SAME BROTHERS WHO WOULD KILL THEM FOR A DOLLAR INSTEAD OF ASKING HOW WE CAN GET THIS PAPER AS A UNIT

Older blacks view passing down businesses and nepotism etc a "handout" :laff:

They literally be on some, "Don't expect handouts from your dad, might as well call that nikka Daddy" shyt

It's idiotic. The only time someone should be looked down on is if your elders passed you down everything and you blew it/wasted it and had no plans on keeping and continuing what was passed down. IE. Being passed down a business and then you sell it and trick off all the earnings and now future generations have nothing.
