Activist Post: 40 Ways That China Is Beating America

Notable stats

#3 Overall, the U.S. has run a trade deficit with China over the past decade that comes to more than 2.3 trillion dollars.

#5 China has more foreign currency reserves than anyone else on the planet

#6 China is the number one gold producer in the world. :birdman::birdman:

#7 China is also the number one gold importer in the world.

#8 The uniforms for the U.S. Olympic team were made in China. :ohhh::ohhh:

#11 The new Martin Luther King memorial on the National Mall was made in China.

#19 Since the auto industry bailout, approximately 70 percent of all GM vehicles have been built outside the United States.

#20 After being bailed out by U.S. taxpayers, General Motors is currently involved in 11 joint ventures with companies owned by the Chinese government. The price for entering into many of these “joint ventures” was a transfer of “state of the art technology” from General Motors to the communist Chinese. Smh
How did this happen? Opinions anyone?

Japan, but from the 989
It all happened when we decided to go to war when we couldn't pay for it. China has the money and we had to get it from somewhere. The crazy part is that we say they are communist and whatnot but they are basically doing what we should have been doing in the first place. Keep the workers wages low or medium-low and make them work longer hours. Make them believe that they are sharing in the in the success of the country and give them little benefits..basically creating a dream for them to work for. The only draw back with all this growth is that they are growing to damn fast. Pollution is out of control in China and they give no fukk about it. America needs to get back to creating low wage jobs, get rid of the unions, and safety provisions at work. Or...we can do the thing that go us on top in the first place...."Win a World War"...lol

Start by getting rid of all free health care services/Obama care, :deadhorse: the shyt out of poor people and reinstating slavery for everyone below the poverty line for a decade. Pull back a good portion of the troops and secure the living shyt out of the borders. Economy boosted. :snoop:

It was inevitable that China was going to start growing. They are a largely undeveloped nation in comparison to the United States, so their growth rate is going to be much higher than a nation that has long been developed. Couple that with a fact that they are a nation that is much better at saving and their country isn't burdened with this huge military industrial complex, it's no surprise that they are making the moves that they are. I'm definitely going to get my passport this year and give myself the ability to get out of America.

Intelligent post. China growth as a nation is how America was in the 60-90's..It's natural that they are paying their workers low without much benefits like how America did back then before unions, etc came through. Only difference is their population is huge, so their growth rate is also huge. Every empire collapses. It's only natural because when generations of people become accustomed to better living conditions, when businesses become about profit, and when everyone becomes lazy...It's time to rebuild from the ground up and let another nation have its time on top. No starting wars to maintain your position in the world. Every nation in history goes from #1 to falling off. It's natural. It's better to fall back and invest in the core strength and innovation.

The "BUCKEYE" Nation
A couple of things I've heard about China. The cost of labor is going up. That will inevitably affect their gdp. Also, some American manufacteurs are leaving China, and bringing some manufacturing back to America. There is a huge discrepancy between the male to female ratio, due to the one child policy. You see some ramifactions of this in India, which has a epidemic of rapes inside the country. How China will deal with this, is anybodys guess. China also has huge polution, which has long term health, and economic disadvantages. Chinese schools also don't teach critical thinking skills. Its one of the reasons why many of the elites send their children to the west to be educated. China's countryside is severely underdeveloped. While China's major cities are metroplois, the countryside is one of the reasons why China is still considered a developing country.

Does China admit dual nationality?

Answer: China does not recognize dual nationality. The Article 3 of China Nationality Law holds that the country will not admit the dual nationality of a Chinese citizen. Moreover, the Article 9 of China Nationality Law declares that as soon as a Chinese takes a foreign citizenship, he will automatically lose his Chinese citizenship.

Why does China refuse to recognize dual nationality?

Answer: There are mainly two reasons to set up a nationality regulation that is totally different from that of many other countries in the world.
First, Chinese Nationality Law has its special historical background. After 1949, many doubts and troubles were caused in some countries especially those in Southeast Asia by a lot of overseas Chinese with dual nationality. It was a misunderstanding but did harm to the ties between China and some countries.
Second, unique nationality is in consideration of the loyalty of a citizen to his country and the administration of citizens. And it is easier for precise judgment in law cases.

Who can be regarded as a Chinese citizen?

Answer: Anyone having any of the following characteristics is regarded as a citizen of China:
1. Persons belonging to any of the nationalities in China;
2. Any person born in China whose parents are both Chinese nationals or one of whose parents is a Chinese national;
3. Any person born abroad whose parents are both Chinese nationals, or one parent who is a Chinese national;
4. Any person born in China whose parents are
