Depends on the circumstance.
Aight circumstance being that we are both living together and split the bills pretty much evenly with more toward me since im the breadwinner.

Is that still tricking?

The slaves that came to Brazil are Niger-Congo just like the slaves that came to America. The Whites that came to Brazil are not the Whites who came to America. Are you really that fukking stupid?

I think more of them came from places like Angola which America didn't source much from but yes, there were slaves that were transported from Africa to Brazil. Everybody knows this. Now back to the main question: what do you know of Brazil? Nothing. You don't know anything. What is the connection between Americans and Brazil? Sex and tourism. Black Americans included.

Why is this in dispute? You can feel a connection to a black person everywhere, that's fine.

African Americans, yes. Carribeans, it depends. Generally it's lower than AAs and in some cases it isn't there. But that's besides the point. White Americans could claim a similar connection but they don't because they know virtually nothing about Brazil, similar to the way you know nothing about Brazil except when it comes to tourism and sex. That's why the connection is tenuous and why anyone talking a "wedge" is talking about a connection that isn't there. No one talks about Brazil unless they're interested in sex. That's the "connection".

Then why is it AAs can claim a similar connection to South Africa during Apartheid?

There is a connection wherever there was slavery, and ethnic marginalization. Me as a Jamaican can claim a connection to AAs where there is slavery and marginalization, because we been through the same shyt. We're the most hated people, the struggle is world wide.

A poster claimed that Blacks in Brazil are the bottom rung of society, there is a connection but you hating thinking it's just sex tourism.

The funny thing is, there's nothing wrong with sex tourism as long as there is legal consent, there is something wrong with sex trafficking.

The people of Angola are of Bantu people descent and I do know that their Black diaspora is similar to ours, their culture is heavily African:what:

Feelings? You're just wrong. You think the worst out of people because you spend your time busting it open in a sea of leering, ugly faces in some rundown musty strip club.

And then you think, yeah. That's how all Black men are like. Smarten up.

I think you mean they speak a Bantu language. They do but they didn't come from the same region AAs came from, technically. I just wanted to share that. Anyway I am aware there were black people sent to Brazil. I am aware there were black people sent all over the world, but I don't know anything about Brazil though and neither do you. We share an interest in Brazil because we like their women. That is why we are here and that is why we are talking about this issue.

And that is the "connection". I don't disagree that you can find other connections with Black Brazilians but that's the main connection Americans have.

So your only interest in Brazil is the women, and you project that nonsense on others to feel better about yourself. Why don't you pick up a book or watch a movie or documentary so you can feel a bit more enlightened about the country itself.

Took you long enough. I was wondering when your true feelings would come out. :russ:

You quoted me. WTF do you want other than to let everyone know you are a trick; and a mad one at that?

I'm not saying there's no justification for feeling a connection with Brazil or black Brazilian, only that the connection isn't really about ethnicity for most of us--most Americans--as it is about beautiful exotic women. That's just my assertion. So the connection is women, sex, blah blah.

The funny thing is, there's nothing wrong with sex tourism as long as there is legal consent, there is something wrong with sex trafficking.

That's your prerogative. I don't really approve of sex tourism but I can't say I'll never do it.

My assertion is that most people's--black Americans included--connection to Brazil is women. That doesn't mean any individual can't make up any other reason to feel connected, only that this is what the black American is. And in fact, THIS NOTION is exactly what Mike's article argues. And the people doing the argument are a Brazilian and ex-patriate himself. I'm pretty confident in my assertions hence. You just want to argue.
