I remember reading some those stories. I was sheltered due to circumstances beyond my control but my mom taught me skills to survive in the world though.

Being a sheltered child is no joke and the damage shows (socially) it's self later on in life. Speaking from experience.

How were you sheltered? You had a real early curfew?

These type people are still children mentally because of the mental abuse and stifling that their parents put them through.

There used to be a hotel we stayed at. There was short white who worked third shift. Her mom would sit on a couch in the lobby the whole night while she worked.

i know parents like that and most of the time those experiments FAIL. you just make really awkward adults.

but i also put some blame on the kids. part of growing up is also defining yourself and coming up from under your parents wings. if they can keep you down with rules alone then you prolly weak to start with.

my parents were strict I would tell them straight up i'm only gonna follow your rules until i don't have to, you can't program me to be a certain way. shyt just made me a sneaky kid who did all the shyt i wasn't supposed to do anyway.
