i think they do need to create some kind of regulation now, early. Because it's only a matter of time before full AI videos are created to frame people for crimes. People gone laugh and tell me i'm using a slippery slope argument but it's right around the corner unless something is done about it.

I do wonder about these people and how so many must be purposely playing dumb about the potential of AI to go crazy. After all, man creates in his image and man is certified insane so going by the old programming axiom of "garbage in, garbage out" its expected. Its not today or tomorrow but 100 steps ahead because its inevitable in that respect due to the evolution of tech and compounding.
That and we already know from the small scale tests that its inherently racist, sexist, ageist and anything else you you can think of because (surprise) its modeled on us. Its like giving a chimp an AK-47. These detriments will magnify as it progresses as it forms the digital subconscious filled with complexes and bias.
Who knows? Maybe its just the latest refinement the human species has created in offing its on switch in a more efficient way. Either way the odds are it will be our last invention because we truly aren't the in place needed to make this with the refinement needed without seeding problems in the future.
