Rim Da Villin, born and raised in the gritty neighborhood of Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, emerged as a prominent figure in the underground hip-hop scene during the early 2000s.

Initially entering the industry with managerial ambitions, he aimed to promote his associate Villin P but soon transitioned into rapping himself, forming the duo Da Villins alongside him.

His early breakthroughs included a feature on AZ's debut album and a collaboration with Kurupt that earned a spot on Rap City's Top 10 countdown

Mentored by the late Sean Price, Rim forged a close affiliation with Duck Down Records, drawing deep inspiration from the golden era of 90s hip-hop that influenced his raw, street-informed perspective.

Rim's artistry stands out for its unfiltered authenticity, blending gritty storytelling with intricate wordplay and a focus on themes like self-knowledge, urban struggles, and resilience.

Rooted in classic boom-bap production, his music eschews commercial polish in favor of substance, often collaborating with underground peers like Raticus and M.A.V. on projects that highlight his lyrical prowess.

As part of collectives such as The Walkers, Rim maintains a commitment to hip-hop's purist traditions, delivering confident flows that pay homage to his Brooklyn roots while evolving through mixtapes, albums, and live performances.

Even into 2025, Rim Da Villin continues to represent Brooklyn's enduring hip-hop talent, releasing fresh tracks, music videos, and engaging in collaborations that underscore his role as an underrated yet influential voice in the genre.
