"An art student has made himself part of his final exams - by sealing himself in a transparent box as a living sculpture.
Almar Atlason, 23, from the Iceland Academy of Arts in the capital Reykjavik, will spend one week completely naked inside the box.
However, most public interest in the project so far has not been about the high-minded art - rather it has centred on how he will carry out basic human functions while inside a sealed glass cube.
Audience members are able to donate basic food and drink, toilet paper and bags to use as makeshift bathrooms.
The artist has also been allowed to accept gifts of books, painting gear and a deck of cards."
