if you look up some of these studios the architecture is kind of next level, especially Eminem's
Now that Dr. Dre has some extra money he might want to open up his own studio, it's a great business expense and thus tax deduction. Plus you end up charging your label recording budget to days in your own studio, meanwhile everybody you pay to work in your studio is an operating expense.
