Dre does produce. He doesn't 'beat make' in the sense he will use people to play keys, string etc but that is all done under his direction to produce the track and sound he is trying to get. Get tired of hearing that arguement by people who can't tell the difference between a beat maker and a producer. He's behind the whole process, even mixes down his own ish which a lot of beat makers do not do.
