As a Celtics fan, I don't want my team to pick Lonzo Ball

It has been 5 years since Celtics were past the 2nd round, which was back in 2012. Back when they had an aging Pierce, KG, and a young Avery Bradley. After that season, that's when the rebuilding started

I've had enough of it


Celtics finally get out the 1st round and on the precipice of doing some real damage in a year or 2, and you got people talking about drafting another rookie to save them . This is a good young Celtics core, who should be in a win now mode

And 2 main reasons I don't want to draft Lonzo

- I don't think he's gonna be this once in a lifetime player everyone is talking about . A couple all star appearances, yes. But he ain't no Magic Johnson

- The circus his father created would be a huge distraction to the organization. Love what Lavar is doing creating a black business, but he fits more in LA. They can deal with his personality better, and he can star in Space Jam 2 or something


I want Celtics to trade that number 1 pick and get some Blockbuster talent

Lol, imagine Brad the gawd trying to coach Lonzo, and Lavar over trying to draw his own plays up? I have a feeling that any team that gets Lonzo, all the front office, coaches, and players are gonna hate the dude just because of his father.
All that said, I hope somehow, some way, he ends up on the knicks. That sh1tbag organization and the Ball family deserve each other.

Trading the pick for just Paul George or Butler doesn't do anything , that celts team still a couple players away.

Lavar / Lonzo don't want to come here. They've explicitly stated this. There's no point trying to fit a square peg into a round hole (unless that square peg is a generational talent like LeBron James). The C's would be a-type foolish to draft Lonzo.
