Lavar / Lonzo don't want to come here. They've explicitly stated this. There's no point trying to fit a square peg into a round hole (unless that square peg is a generational talent like LeBron James). The C's would be a-type foolish to draft Lonzo.

I was thinking the only opportunity here is to force the Lakers to give up their pick alongside another piece for Lonzo, but I don't think it's worth the risk.

Yea, I bet the Lakers want Ball, but they have to be feeling some uneasyness with dealing with Lavar and the expectations that comes with a hometown kid. I'd bet they'd be secretly relieved if Lonzo wasn't on the board at #2.
