As a midwest nygga, I don’t understand why you uncultured peasants talk down on Fish and Spaghetti

There's a spot in Dallas by Town East that had this on the menu. You could order catfish but also get spaghetti.

It's not a bad combination.....it's just that most Southerners would use other foods to pair with fried fish:

Okra
Dirty Rice
Jambalaya
Collard Greens
Red Beans & Rice
French Fries
Gumbo

ive never had spaghetti w/o some sort of meat in it like beef or sausage. to me, that's a meal in itself. it was just never served as a side in our household.

So you always just ate spaghetti straight up by itself? Granted I don't eat meat in my spaghetti but that still doesn't address the concept of fish being its own meal.

Fish isn't as heavy as it's being made out to be.
