As an adult, having and living off of a big ego is NEVER good.

:snoop: humility is NOT a bad thing.

Maybe its just me but ever notice how people with big egos always end up getting in their own way. Like they literally are the ones who sabotage themselves or whatever theyre doing and dont have the humility to see it.

For example, i know someone in my family who ego is so big, they think theyre too smart to read the instruction manual to whatever appliance or shelf they have to set up. If im or someone else is not around to help them out, they usually end up stuck trying to set up shyt themselves because they didnt humble themselves to read the instructions. :snoop: ive had instances myself and believe me, its sobering.

It happens here everyday when someone's asinine thought gets debunked with a bounty of evidence and instead of humbly accepting their L and moving on with some edification, they either move the goalposts or double down on their wrong statement, thus looking like a bigger ass and smaller person than they did at the outset of the conversation.

And of course the personal insults come out when they have no recourse but still can't handle being mentally outmaneuvered.

Some people are literally their own worst enemies and if it wasn't for civilized societies would have never made it to their 10th birthday just off the strength of their ego.

Breh, sad thing is, the same family member that im talking about that thinks theyre too smart to read instructions has the same exact problem you mentioned. :snoop: they think they know everything and yet ive NEVER seen them pick up a book to read once in the 39 years that ive known them. They watch msnbc, buy the ny post and what they heard from someone else and they think they know everything from that. Cant even have a conversation with them. Godforbid i or anybody for that matter disagrees with them or question what they say. :picard: i seen first hand how their huge ego has basically stop them from being successful in life. And if you talk to them, they have a problem with being honest about themselves too. Its lie after lie after lie.

Which is why when i see other people out here with similar behaviors and traits like that... im like :snoop: some of them thinking that shyt is cute not even knowing theyre making themselves look bad.

It goes both ways. Being too humble can cause you to miss out on opportunities as well. Honestly understanding the situations where one or the other is necessary helps you get by.
For instance you wouldn't wanna be humble during a job interview where you are selling yourself. Conversely you don't wanna be egotistical when you're taking a class.

As i said at the end of my first post, those people should be the most grateful for civilization, society, and governments that enforce the law.

It's literally under that structure that everyone else has to tolerate their stupidity and BS.

Wholeheartedly agreed. Being too humble or having less ego in certain situations is bad too. Thats how people get taken advantage of and fukked over. Having discretion and self awareness is important. Keeping the ego balanced is mental work

That doesn't bother me as much as people living in the past and think that shyt applies to today. I gotta homegirl (who I was fukkin') that only wants to talk about how great she was when she was in college. That's was 20 years ago. Time to move on.
