The I in Team
shyt I can't even hate. Truthfully with Noah out yesterday he was the one dude I was worried about. I think Nate is more focused because he got something to prove now. He always had the talent but his knucklehead ways almost sent him out the league. I give a lot of credit to Thibs tho for making that work.

Nate has been there the entire season and won us multiple games. Noah has missed 14 games while being banged up in plenty of other games.

Noah's minutes: 2398
Nate's minutes: 1969

And stop it with the banged up bullshyt. Like that stopped Noah from giving 110% effort during games.

He also had a TS% under league average for a large part of the beginning of the year which is pathetic for a center.

See now this makes me think you haven't even been watching the Bulls. Yes, let's single out Noah's worst attribute and totally gloss over the MAIN aspects he brings to the team. You're desperately clutching at straws.

I really started noticing how good he can really be off the bench last season with the Warriors. I remember he practically beat the Heat last season by himself in the 4th quarter and in OT too. :damn: Why couldn't Mitch get him!!!!!

:stopitslime: If Noah is banged up, his effort gets compromised. He's a hustle player. Everytime he's had an injury whether it was an ankle, foot, wrist etc, his play suffered. I fux wit Noah but he hasnt been our most consistent player.

That attribute is one of the main factors in wins and losses. During that slump we had the whole starting 5 TS was below league average. Its also another reason why we sucked on offense.

Nate usually brought a spark off the bench, got our offense cooking and kept it going in the fourth. Dude has won us way too many games while Noah and Deng were hurt, Boozer relapsing and Kirk bricking damn near everything.

That hasn't stopped him from giving full effort. Noah has already said, it affects him after games, more than during them. His ankle injury isn't a good draw point, because he injured that last season in the Philly series and didn't come back for the last 3 games of the playoffs - his play didn't suffer because he didn't play.

What wrist injury?

You're just making shyt up now.

:what:

You're using some stupid advanced shooting metric as one of the main reasons for the Bulls' wins/losses?

The main reasons for the Bulls' wins/losses is: defense and hustle. Everything else is secondary.

First half of the season: 23 - 16

Second half of the season: 20 - 19

They had worse slumps in the second half of the season than they did in the first half (when this supposed below average TS% was weighing them down). The Bulls have had a bad FG% all season (25th out of 30), that hasn't stopped them from being the 5th seed in the East. That's because their shooting% have had very little to do with their success this season. You're really gonna spin this shyt as if their bottom-ranked offense has been more of a factor in their wins, over their top-ranked defense? And that their wins have had more to with the offensive play of a bench player, who plays half a game (25 mins) over the play of a starter - who plays the majority of the game (ranging from 37 to 40 mins) and who has been their biggest defensive strength?

:rudy:

Nate usually brought a spark off the bench, got our offense cooking and kept it going in the fourth. Dude has won us way too many games while Noah and Deng were hurt, Boozer relapsing and Kirk bricking damn near everything.

Now you're just lying and stretching half-truths into exaggerated ones. What about Noah being voted an All-Star for his play in the first half of the season? What about Noah being CONSTANTLY bought up as one of the best defensive players throughout the season and when the half-way point of the season came up he was lauded as being the Defensive Player of the Year? What about his intensity/hustle that he brings every single game? What about all the offensive rebounds; return-possesions; help-defense, blocks, passing and all the other roles he fulfils on both sides of the court at the end of games?

Noah's likely to win DPOY or at least come very close (2nd or 3rd) and this is mark of him not being the most consistent player on a top 5 defensive team? What other Bulls players have had All-Star nods and had other award-acclaims this season?

Noah has had more impact on the Bulls' overall wins this season - that's a FACT.

Times are tough in Tom Thibodeau's basketball fiefdom.

Taj Gibson is out, Rip Hamilton is out, Luol Deng has a busted-up jaw and Nate Robinson's shot-selection chip is forever on the fritz.

As for Derrick Rose's return, well, Godot has a clearer arrival date than Rose.

Forward Lou Amundson just signed a 10-day contract and that qualifies for good news right now.

After two years living it up atop the Eastern Conference, the Bulls are angling for playoff position with the plebians and the schedule is only getting tougher.

But through all the turmoil, Thibodeau has one guy he can count on, Joakim Noah.

Well, until Noah gets injured again, or a flareup of his plantar fasciitis puts him on the bench. But let's not linger too long on the nastiness of the future. As Thibodeau would say, the biggest game is the next game.

As long as we're living in the present, let's celebrate Noah, who has single-handedly woken up the Bulls from their February slumber.

Noah thrilled the United Center with a triple-double (23 points, 21 rebounds, 11 blocks) Thursday, leading the Bulls to a win over Philadelphia.

On Saturday night, the All-Star center followed with a 21-point, 10-rebound, five-assist, four-blocked shot performance in the Bulls' 96-85 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

Not a bad encore.

After picking up an early technical during the Bulls' sluggish start, Noah wound up playing 41:13 and hit 10 of 13 shots.

"The way he is playing is really inspiring to the rest of the team," said Thibodeau, that noted sentimentalist.

Noah is playing through plantar fasciitis pain, which he's managing with treatments, massages and, you know, playing 40+ minutes a night. He admitted it's tiring being an inspirational figure.

He had arguably the best game of the season when he was dealing with his foot injury:

45 MINS, 8-12 FG, .667 FG%, 7-9 FT, .778FT%, 21 REB, 1 AST, 11 BLKS, 3 STLS, 23 PTS

Then followed that win with another 40+ min, multi-block, double-digit rebounding, 20+ point game and you say his effort was compromised and his play suffered?
