As someone who actually watched every snap Baker Mayfield took at OU...

IF he is not successful, aside from personnel variables, his greatest weaknesses were...

1. looking for the big play a little too often. Would not throw to simple intermediate underneath routes b/c he had deep threats like Dede Westbrook, Marquise Brown, etc.
2. also relied too much at times on TE Mark Andrews(who will prob be drafted tomorrow). Definite tunnel vision at times
3. When LB blitzed up the middle, or a D-lineman got off a block, he often would be in trouble holding the ball too long, again going back to point #1, b/c he looked for the big play downfield....but instead resulted in a sack. See the Texas game this past year, and 3rd quarter of Georgia game.

If you blitz him every play you can rattle him, but then

Miss me with all the regurgitated height, hands etc b/c y'all can't name 1 QB who got a chance to play and struggled b/c of size. If you get on the field you're good to go.

He's a master of the RPO, knows the in and outs down pat, and that's the new trend in the NFL(see Nick Foles & Eagles) and it's why 28 NFL teams are asking how Lincoln Rileys offense works. All of the things he can do, plus being a great leader are why they took on him at 1 to build for the future.

Hes an elite QB for his style of QB. I felt Watson was an excellent prospect for that same style but Mayfield is elite at it. He could even run the WCO. He reminds me a lot of Joe Montana

Watson is too, he just needs better WR around him. He can make all the throws within that offense.

That's my main concern for Mayfield is WR talent. But make no mistake, the Browns are planning on running RPO's to get guys open. Hue Jackson is gonna get creative.....breh has nothing to lose.

I really would like to see Tyrod in it as well. Sometimes I feel Buffalo didnt open up the playbook for him. Hes a good player. That said, I dont really see Tyrod as a RPO/WCO guy. I see him more as a traditional QB with slow mental processing but excellent mobility.

With them having Landry and Gordon, I am not as worried. I still like the WR from Baylor as well that Cleveland has.

Slow people think his bulls hit tactics will translate in the nfl :mjlol:

Even the team who drafted him don't believe the Bulls hit or they wouldn't have taken an insurance policy with another qb:mjlol:

Cleveland has Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry, Corey Coleman, and Njoku at TE.

He got some weapons.

When will you realize the NFL is a talent business. There isn't a single physical attribute where Mayfield is even above average. He's got below average size, below average athleticism, and below average character. You can try to make excuses for him, but he is on tape trying to run away from police officers. That is incompetence of the highest order.

The NFL will expose him as just another Rex Grossman. Short white dudes who act tough get love from the crakka majority. But they don't fool me. This cac will flame out big time.

Every team in this draft has an insurance policy already in place for the QB's they took except maybe Buffalo

Breh said Josh Dobbs was going to be the next Cam and Jameis in college. :russ:

If not for Butch Jones incompetence that would have been the case.

Just watch what happens this upcoming season. 2 events will happen that will prove Butch Jones is the worst coach in sports history.

(1) The Tennessee Vols will win 10 games in year 1 with Jeremy Pruitt.
(2) Josh Dobbs will lead the Steelers to the Super Bowl.

People will then realize it wasn't just Alvin Kamara that he wasted. Butch Jones was wasting a lot more talent.
