IF he is not successful, aside from personnel variables, his greatest weaknesses were...
1. looking for the big play a little too often. Would not throw to simple intermediate underneath routes b/c he had deep threats like Dede Westbrook, Marquise Brown, etc.
2. also relied too much at times on TE Mark Andrews(who will prob be drafted tomorrow). Definite tunnel vision at times
3. When LB blitzed up the middle, or a D-lineman got off a block, he often would be in trouble holding the ball too long, again going back to point #1, b/c he looked for the big play downfield....but instead resulted in a sack. See the Texas game this past year, and 3rd quarter of Georgia game.
If you blitz him every play you can rattle him, but then
Miss me with all the regurgitated height, hands etc b/c y'all can't name 1 QB who got a chance to play and struggled b/c of size. If you get on the field you're good to go.
He's a master of the RPO, knows the in and outs down pat, and that's the new trend in the NFL(see Nick Foles & Eagles) and it's why 28 NFL teams are asking how Lincoln Rileys offense works. All of the things he can do, plus being a great leader are why they took on him at 1 to build for the future.
