I said before that Gen X that gave birth to the late 90s babies failed to be parents. That "I want my kids to be my buddy" shyt made a lot of absent minded people today.

4 real, the shift in parenting styles, why did it happen?

Cause they got caught up with the "cool" shyt. They hated that super strict old school parenting, especially in the age of dysfunction that started in the 80s. The 9th was all about flashing newly earned money and crap like that. Parenting also plunged as well.

But keep in mind that hip hop hadn't even been around that long during the early 90's. It was still evolving. Then in 1996 there was a total shift and it went full blown mainstream. Then the internet blew up. There were a lot of technological changes.

True, but Gen X flopped on parenting because they still wanted to have fun and made family life not as a priority.

Thing is, struggle users and bottle babied dikkheads like OP make the rest of us 90s babies look bad.

I was born in the 90s (granted, 1992 not 1999), and I was born into the 2001 (Dre), Eminem, Xzibit, Stankonia era of music. I went back to listen to the history of hip-hop and I fell in love with all the 90s shyt.

So I don't understand when people who were born in one era cannot love something of another era. Never made sense to me. Do your googles and respect the shyt that paved the way for your music.
