Name ONE NY rapper in the past 10 years who didnt think he was tha absolute shyt or the greatest. Its jus different times nowadays so the people have more access to it.

But nikkas acting like Raekwon,Max B, 50 cent, Camron, Jay, Ghost, DMX, Mase, Big, Big L, Fab, Jadakiss, or even Jim Jones didnt have this same type arrogance lol

The difference between ASAP and the rest of those dudes is most of those dudes earned their stripes. Jay really did have nikkas burning jerseys in effigy. Max had Jay-z screaming "wavy". Jada, Rae, Ghost were bumping heads with the greatest rappers of all time and have been killing it for damn near 20 years . Big... his legacy speaks for itself. Mase, DMX, they sold a lot of records and made a lot of nikkas switch their whole shyt up. Cam had a good run. Nobody believed Jim Jones

Its OK to be cocky when your track record is solid. This dude had one decent album, carried largely by production and features, and now he's "frustrated" for not getting the credit he feels he deserves. Credit for what? nikkas wasn't rockin gold before ASAP

Never understood why people hate people confident in their abilities. Call it cocky, call it what you want, but at least he isn't being politically correct and states what he feels. You don't have to agree with it ( I don't) but I think its great to be outspoken and confident.

Some of these posters must have no confidence, getting worked up seeing other guys winning and being confident at the same time.

Being confident is not being cocky and politically incorrect, being confident is believing in your abilities, and what you have accomplished, while not worrying about being politically correct when stating how you feel.

but at least with the bolded (maybe including jim if you're a real dipset stan), based on their previous work (mixtapes, features, group work) hip hop heads woulda been on some "damn, we need more music from xyz" after their debut solo, can't say that for rocky...

but whatever, i don't care to listen to too many rappers' thoughts/rants/interviews, etc. aside from a select few, couldn't care less what asap thinks
