I always wondered what kind of psychological effects does it have on a child of another race getting adopted by a white family that isn't made up of celebrities.
Not being seen as a real member of your own race but also not a member of your adopted family/culture's race...that's something that most families probably wouldn't take into consideration as the child gets older.
