I saw this first hand myself at the school I work. I know a girl who has 1.4 million in scholarships. And she wasn't the valedictorian nor salut. She was a mostly A's and B student. But she involved in a lot stuff and that's how she got that money. All that 4.6 gpa stuff means little if you don't balance it out.
