you didn’t read the article you quoted AND you didn’t read my post. In the article they conceded that they can’t do this everywhere.

One, it’s a pilot program. Two, those stations they mentioned are straight, level, island platforms. Third, those stations only use ONE type of car class.
If they can pull it off for ALL 472 stations, then kudos to them. Highly doubt it though.
I read your post and I disagree. Just because it can't be done everywhere doesn't mean it shouldn't be attempted. With that logic there wouldn't be any train stations with elevators since they can't all have them.
