Academically Asians are eating whites alive today, but socioeconomically speaking it can argued either way. If we are talking about world history, than I would give the nod to Asians, specifically ancient china. Long before Renaissance and Enlightenment had hit Europe, China had already practiced Legalistic system in governing (during the Qin Dynasty). And, amazingly, it is the only nation that develop its own writing, culture, civilization, free market system without much outside influence from other cultures(prior to the silk road). Much of what became western culture was adapted, copied, influenced from Europeans interacting with Asia and the Muslim World. Universally, groups that lived in isolated environments always lag in development, but Ancient China was that exception.

Some Asian groups in the US (Hmong, Lao, Cambodian, etc.) are not more successful than whites and don't really fit into the "model minority" thing
