What are the rappers you think are good, not doing? apparently Labels aren't signing good rappers anymore... and only wack nikkas are getting deals.


are the good rappers not getting signed, cause they wanna rest on the fact they're good at rapping ( Jay Electronica) and sit on their ass complaining about the state of hip hop?

or are the wack rappers getting signed, cause they actually have work ethic and are about their money?

it's one or the other, Either Wack rappers are doing something that these good rappers arent to get signed..... or these good rappers aint doing enough to get signed.

or maybe labels realized generic wack artists sell more. they're more willing to sell out cuz they dont have an original sound or message. they're easier to work with cuz they'll do anything for that money, there's no sense of self respect.

i wouldnt say every "wack" artist is like that but most. i dont really see future turning down any request from a semi big name producer to do a song, even if he doesnt really wanna do it. big krit is prolly more selective.

The biggest stars can barely go double platinum, hip-hop is not selling like it used to, so if you an artist with a small fan base you gonna do even worse.

I don't complain, I really don't care. All my favorite artists are unsigned and get money through shows and features. Cam will never see platinum again, and I still mess with him like its '05.

hip hop albums aren't selling like they used to... But rappers are richer than ever these days.

Personality. A lot of these so called "wack" artist have no problem looking like a fool with their image. I'm turn it creates an entertaining personality that everyone will like. It's hard for people to connect to a person that's serious all the time.
