This could be INCREDIBLE. They are gonna have to ditch or minimize the PRESENT DAY story line. Since UBISOFT is behind this, I wonder if they are willing to pivot and allow divergences from the game story. That present day story is TERRIBLE for an adaptation. It's what made the movie so bad.

They need to focus only on the HISTORICAL aspect of the story.
