Pierce definitely belongs on that list, he matched up extremely well against Lebron and arguably out-played Kobe on his way to an NBA title.

The list was made in 1996, IIRC, so Payton and Miller didn't yet have the resumes they ended up with.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Chris Bosh...in my opinion he's, at the very least, an equally important contributor as Wade has been in the Heat's playoff success.
