Asus ROG Ally Review vs Steam Deck (Digital Foundry)

Getting the Asus for my son could care less about trackpad or low battery life. It's basically going to be a portable gaming pc that I will have a monitor keyboard mouse and xbox controller for him to use in his room. Pretty sure I can eventually get him a power bank that will extend the life of it but he will mostly be playing at home so.
Those software bugs makes that unit a non starter for me.
The ROG benchmarks make me feel it’s not worth it.
It’s more powerful but it can’t do 60fps for most AAA games either.
If it’s gonna be a smaller game/indie machine anyway, might as well go for the cheaper cost and better portability of the SD.
