I was watching shark tank and they had a business owner who created a product based on how we take a shiit. I remember in like 2009 (on SOHH) a poster made a thread about how we aren't sitting properly when we take a shiit.

I can't pull the thread but I have the youtube video that they linked...


I watched the video like... "I had no idea I was pooping wrong..." So for a while I would grab a plastic container or bucket and rest my feet on it to give me a simulated squat position when I had to produce a @charmander.




Then I thought about the business potential like......
And the idea of creating a product like this crossed my mind but I honestly said to my self...
" why would someone buy this, when they can make a 'make-shift' item like this on their own".




Fast forward 5 years to today and Im watching the shark tank and someone made an item exactly like what I was thinking... They started this business only 3 years ago also...

They sell this shiit for $25. :camron:
They have plans online on how to make these but the people who started the company were smart enough to get a patent so they are the only ones that can sell it for the next 20 years.

First year they sold $1M
Second year they sold $2.7M
This year they already sold $2M in only two quarters aka 6 months.






All sales were ONLINE ONLY too...meaning that with a website and effective marketing & promotion anybody could sell these types of numbers...






The lesson in this is that we talk a lot of shiit on the coli (no pun ) but different conversations spark different ideas and I personally think that in America, you can literally sell ANYTHING so don't hesitate to start a business brehs . Especially now with the job market being the way that it is and black people needing to build an economic base, now is the most important time to think about starting a business.

I am working on a some ideas now so Im not just preaching...

i wonder what their logistics are like though. If they can get a company like walmart to sell them then maybe they can cake...but a couple million in sales doesnt translate to being a millionaire if the profit margin is only like 10%.

it's not too late breh. if you find a way to make the same product but cheaper (if you find a connect) or you could even become a wholesaler. it's still relatively early in the game since the product isn't fully mainstream yet.

EDIT: you could even make the same product and sell it at a higher price with different marketing.

I saw this episode lastnight too and I was like at their sales too. Barbara basically called the dude a sneaky white devil when she said there was something about him she didn't believe. But yeah you can absolutely sell almost anything

Nah their margins are ridiculously high. It costs them ~4 to produce and they resell for 25. they just spend alot of money on marketing/advertising. They said they advertise on Howard Stern and for every 1 dollar they spend there, they make 5 dollars.

It seems like the company is pretty profitable. Their margins are crazy. It cost them $4 to produce and they sell for $25 and they were looking more for a strategic business partner (connections) from the Sharks not financial assistance.

You could only do that on some 'bootleg' shiit because they have 3 patents on the product so you couldn't leagally sell these. I have my own original ideas so Im not worried about this.

It just amazes me at the things people will spend money on in this country. There is a company that grossed $10.4M dollars selling pool "floaties" for your car to keep stuff from getting lost in your seats...

I have an idea for a sick ass invention to help people that are always losing stuff but I looked into what it takes to get started and it looked too hard. Maybe once I'm doing better in life.

Another one of my ideas is this:

You know how toilet paper is the worst way to wipe your butt. Totally ineffective really, so you should use wipes and toilet paper for better results. I was thinking of making a toilet paper roll that has thin wipes mixed into the roll. The wipes would be covered in that plastic like the one for single cheese slices. You'd get like ten squares of toilet paper, then a large heavy duty wipe, then ten more squares.

Only problem I could think of was the roll being too bulky.
