no matter the budget big or small. a couple years ago i though they would become extinct. obviously they died down since the 90's/early 2000's

i enjoy videos no matter what they are like. a lot of artist could just release itunes singles and be done with it. it shows they still try which i like

You mean where they rap in front of a solid black or white background with corny camera effects, a car and a couple girls?

I chalk the generic rap videos to them bein cheap. Alot of popular songs have shytty videos. From all the way back to In Da Club to Swimming Pools, fukkin Problem.

Since they make money off YouTube they know a popular song is gonna draw a lot of views so why spend more money on a better video. So it's all about Revenue - Expenses.

In these cases I wish I would've never saw a video.

Usually Songs outside of the rap genre have better videos. Well more inspired videos I should say

as long as something like youtube is around there will always be music videos. MTV has all but stopped playing them but there is still an outlet and it's better/easier to see what you want than ever before

I don't thinks music videos will ever die. A single song is 99 cents on iTunes and a video is 1.99. So a little bit more revenue right there. And it's a great promoter. How many times have you been "eh" on a song until you saw the video??

I wish MTV would quit with the reality shyt and bring the music back.

They have a dedicated music channel, multiple if you count Viacom ones.

Your song does not exist commercially without some visuals..
Unless its some rare shyt like nikkas in Paris, or some Drake/Wayne single.

But even in those cases the commercial visibility is heavily accelerated by a video.

I wonder if there is some money for google to make if they could try some MTV shyt on YouTube with respected personalities. shyt would be dope, countdowns, hidden jewels, interviews etc.

Music Videos will never die... & Hip Hop is the only genre where dudes will shoot a crappy music video to every song on their crappy mixtape. You still see very good videos with dope concepts & well thought out storylines in other genres of music but Hip Hop has become the "grab a T2i & shoot your boys in front of a car in & out of focus" video game that has spread like a plague across Youtube...

Music videos will always be around. It's good promotion and fans love a visual for the music that they listen to. The days of grand, epic expensive music videos are over, though.
