US wireless carrier AT&T said in a letter to the US telecoms regulator that it had committed to ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs, a move that comes as it seeks approval from the Trump administration to buy wireless spectrum assets.

In November 2024, AT&T (T) agreed to buy some wireless spectrum licenses from US Cellular in a $1.02 billion deal that requires approval from the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC under President Donald Trump has required telecom firms to end DEI programs as a condition of approving transactions.

Do we have a list of companies we should try avoiding with a list of alternatives?

The company I work for "dropped" DEI months ago. You wouldn't be able to tell though because we're doing the same shyt before Trump and his base started pushing companies to remove DEI initiatives. We just call it something different now.

This. A lot of that shyt is just getting rolled back to what it always should have been: HR. Giving out entirely new offices for new departments was always just a handout that primarily benefitted white women. Sure there was often the token black woman in the DEI offices across the country but that shyt was generally run by a (often young) white woman.

DEI did not benefit black people. Sure it got a few black people with very specific backgrounds/demographics hired (specifically black women and gay black men) in certain fields but overall it was not meant for us.
