Each new rapper is more morally depraved, cynical and nonsensical. The producers are the only individuals saving what's left of hip hop "culture"

The artists themselves are being shown either beefing, spending money foolishly and outlandishly, getting exposed by a thot, getting extorted, extorting someone, being on a narcotic, exhibiting distributing narcotics, or dying... In a constant circle.

What is the agenda behind the music that is being exhibited through the overall scheme of artists, music, and the drama surrounding it that seemingly has nothing to do with us? But then look at the condition of the people that consume it and from whom it is created....

Behind all the records and the singles and interviews and you're looking at too many bodies. And if listening to this music is perpetuating it, then one should consider the overall effects. The older I get the more I realize how far we are from where we need to be and the soundtracks to our lives are pretty morbid underneath the melodies and 808s.

That letter written years ago is starting to sound way more true.

The industry is filled with demons and so is the music. The execs are rich filthy scumbags who hate black people, so what do you think they do to the people they pay to make you think they're rich behind closed doors? Wake up from the fantasy.
Be careful with what you allow to play in your mind and repeat over and over. More and more rappers are going to keep dying and sadly their fans too.

Say what you want, like I said in another thread. Nas was shooting everyone up on a christmas beat in the late 90's x was talking about carving people up with chainsaws and raping females same with biggie. They still brought mad jewlery from the arabs, nikkas was still getting shot ( big L , freaky tah, etc). They all caught cases even nas and jay ,They was telling us to sell crack and shoot folks. What's the difference ?

Only difference is real street nikkas is uploading they shyt on youtube getting views so when they get popped their considered a rapper.

Your first mistake is considering a lot of these dudes rappers. A lot of these guys are hood nikkas first and rappers second. As to why they're so popular? It's a lot of factors.

If social media existed in the 90s, you'd see the same shyt. Less gatekeeping nowadays meaning anyone can blowup.

The majority was always about killing, hoes, money, etc. but at least you had some nice alusions, some cool punchlines, wordplay, nice beats.

Today? It's really retard music. No rhymes, repetitive words and if there's some truth to the "sorcery" consiparacy - the repetitive sad beats definitely help.

It's not the same as it was before. This is repetitive, mostly mindless chants with lyrics scattered here and there. And the rappers actually look like demons. And the music sucks on purpose. They used to sign a balance of acts, now it's only a mix of 2-3 character types. They're either in and out of jail like Kodak, in constant beef or trouble like nba or they die. They don't even have a 3 year career. They're lucky ones if they see 3-5 and those are the ones doing gay shyt. If you look at the dudes who came out been 2014-2016 that were hot and still are today had to publicly act gay at some point or real sus

The content is the same and that's what the thread its about. And most of the rappers I listen to actually rap. I come on this forum and the majority of the time the biggest music threads involve lyrical rappers (pusha, nas, griselda etc) . It's so many avenues and so many ways to get the music that you want, why are you wasting your time listening to repetitive mindless chants? And if your not listening to it why does it bother you.
