Black men always open the door for me, give me their seat on the bus, is always kind/nice to me, never got used for sex by a black man and it is fairly easy for me to find a black man that has never been to jail, no kids, has a job and is going some where in life.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't go through my "men aren't sh!t" phase . It was the longest 2 years of my life. Until I had the ability to be honest with myself and recognize the roll I played in my own unhappiness.

I learned: one failed relationship shouldn't be a blueprint for the opposite sex or an excuse to categorize an entire gender. I was blocking my blessings/happiness by letting an individual that was no longer apart of my life take up space in my mind.
